Yesterday British.......... Today American........who's next?

Iraqis apprehend two Americans disguised as Arabs trying to detonate a car bomb in a residential neighborhood of western Baghdad's al-Ghazaliyah district on Tuesday.

A number of Iraqis apprehended two Americans disguised in Arab dress as they tried to blow up a booby-trapped car in the middle of a residential area in western Baghdad on Tuesday.

Residents of western Baghdad's al-Ghazaliyah district told Quds Press that the people had apprehended the Americans as they left their Caprice car near a residential neighborhood in al-Ghazaliyah on Tuesday afternoon (11 October 2005). Local people found they looked suspicious so they detained the men before they could get away. That was when they discovered that they were Americans and called the Iraqi puppet police.

Five minutes after the arrival of the Iraqi puppet police on the scene a large force of US troops showed up and surrounded the area. They put the two Americans in one of their Humvees and drove away at high speed to the astonishment of the residents of the area.

Quds Press spoke by telephone with a member of the al-Ghazaliyah puppet police who confirmed the incident, saying that the two men were non-Arab foreigners but declined to be more precise about their nationality.

Hmmm. "Quds press" (otherwise known as "voice of the terrorists"), "Iraqi puppet police"...

...sounds like a legitimate news report to me. Is this the same news organization that informed you of the "giant killer spiders sent by Allah"? :-)

If you want to be taken seriously, "truth teller", you'll have to do better than that. If, however, you don't really care about being taken seriously and your goal is simply to spread dubious propaganda, then you have accomplished your goal.

I see no reason to disbelieve truth teller. Anything is possible. For myself, I think that - to our eternal shame - there may be both British and American "agents provocateurs" operating in Iraq. It has happened before, in other conflicts, in other countries, in years past.

Sure, "anything is possible". But that's not the criteria you use to bandy stories around.

I heard that "truth teller" himself is planting bombs and then blaming it on the Americans. Hey, "anything's possible", right?

The fact is that people like "truth teller" want to believe these stories because it makes them feel better. They don't want to believe the "noble mujahid" (whom "truth teller"'s daughter has already declared her full support for) are doing these things. So if it makes them feel better to believe it, let them believe it. Whether they believe these stories or not doesn't change the truth. But it does make "truth teller" look silly and deluded. If he doesn't mind that, so be it. It's his blog.

Rachel honey I've found you at last! I wondered where you got to. It's nice to see you've found a blogger that's just as crazy as yourself.

Seriously though you are performing a useful service by marking the blog the same way a dog urinates to mark it's territory. I'll respect your comments/markings now and leave you in peace.

Have a nice life.

As an arrogant idiot, I submit the following: First, the source??? Second, let's assume the event actually happened, how did the residents identify the two as American? I saw some pictures of young Iraqis voting who could have just as easily been shopping in my neighborhood Walmart--what exactly is the distinguishing charactersictic of Americans? Did they have American flag patches on their robes or what? Third, if we forget that obvious hurdle and assume they were American, how do we know they were not traitors who had taken to radical Islam in America and foolishly made their way to Iraq to do their part for Allah? It is every bit as likely as any other possibility, isn't it?

So just what are we supposed to infer from this breaking 'news', TT? Is this to support your prior implied positon that the despicable practice of planting bombs in the vicinity of civilians is actually an American plot? Don't you think they could do better than this and use some to their JEWISH-Kurdish allies instead of men with Made in America stamped on their foreheads if they were in fact doing as you have said? I hope you are a better Dr than you are a propagandist--you are right up there with Bagdad Bob in the credibility department. Giant spiders--Saddam a misunderstood victim--widespread indiscriminate killing by Americans--starving refugees from Tal Afar--Americans planting bombs. You may have some very relevant and important things to say, and they may not be things I like or want to hear, but BS like this renders them useless. The only people who believe this are people who will believe anything if it feeds their hatred of anything American.

Original source of this breaking news Resistance Reports midway through the page, but take your time and read about the daring exploits of those who are killing hundreds of 'puppet Iraqis' and dozens of US soldiers on a daily basis. Yes, I am being sarcastic . Is this what you want your family's blog to become TT? Too bad.
